There is an official plan of attack on special trades handling for the Hurricanes v Crusaders game. For a full explanation of our thinking click here. In summary... we are yet to finalise, but the current thinking is this:
- We review fantasy squads as of the morning of the tragedy.
- Those with 4 affected players will be given 1 additional trade.
- Those with 5 affected players will be given 2 additional trades.
- Those with 6 or more affected players will be given 3 additional trades.
Please give your feedback.

ahhh! iv been wondering all day if anything will be done to help out people who have these players. put it this way, im a canes supporter and decided to have fun this year by picking my entire team as the canes with the exception of carter which you cant not have can ya! so apart from having to dump nonu the twat i have 11 others that i have to now exchange! i hope they let us all do a % change versus trades else my seasons pretty much stuffed. no ones fault of course but would like to have a good go at the season. anyway lets see what happens. cheers guys :-)

Everyone should compensated one for one. This is an extraordinary situation that has more impact than: injuries, suspension, player rotation and non-selection due to poor form combined.
Also, you might want to come up with a more comprehensive plan for the competitors from the Chistchurch region who will have no access to their Super 15 squads or have bigger issues to deal with than dumping players from their squads that are probably heavily laden with Crusaders.

I am a bit disappointed because I dumped several Hurricanes early in the week after their poor performance. This trade compensation encourages those who were slack and didn't get onto transferring out some of their Hurricanes. Will people who had Nonu and Gear in their teams get a free trade too? Yet because I am astute I dumped Nonu and Gear early in the week because they were not going to play this week and Savea after he didn't get many points. If I wasn't so onto it, I would of left them in even though Gear and Nonu wouldn't have played, yet other people will get more trades because of it.
It is a tough one!

Would it not make more sense to work from the first round lock, if you had Saders and Canes players in your team in round one irrespective if you traded before the sad news to allow equally bonus trades as the affected players have to be sold in any event?

I agree one for one - I wouldn't have traded any of the players in my team... now I have to trade 8! and I only get 3 extra trades????

Christ It's only a fun game - I had 7 Hur/Cru players and I couldn't care less!!! My thoughts are for the victims and people of Christchurch. We'll get over it a lot quicker than they will!!!

A tradegy it is - but take it like having a player in your squad who is injured and cannot play for several weeks.

Get over it guys I traded a lot of players too. Give them a break. Deal with it. Theres plenty of trades too work with anyway. Its round 2! You had 20 trades geez. If there is someone with a whole team of canes/cru players then yes give them some trades....but not for 3-5 players get a grip.

Trades have been given to competitors who owned a large number of Hurricanes and/or Crusaders rugby players. The details of this are in the 'News and Info' section found here
